So, how did a staff developer/author from Minnesota and a classroom teacher/literacy coach from The San Francisco Bay Area come to write together? Our writing and thought partnership started in a 21st century way . . . before we ever met face to face, we followed each other on Twitter, read each other’s blogs, and participated in the #G2Great community of like-minded literacy education professionals. In 2015 at NCTE’s annual convention, Christina recognized Kari in a session, walked up to her, introduced herself, and before we knew it a writing partnership was born. We are coauthors of the book, To Know and Nurture a Reader: Conferring with Confidence and Joy from Stenhouse Publishers.
